Currently, the COVID-19 pandemic has spread to almost all countries of the world, and specific vaccines for currently circulating SARS-CoV-2 virus strains have worked out effectively. In recent times, the pandemic has tended to reduce both in terms of the declared cases and related deaths on a global scale. And the COVID-19 pandemic has been put under control in Vietnam with a high rate of COVID-19 vaccination coverage.

On the basis of the COVID-19 development and pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 89/2018/ND-CP dated June 25, 2018, guiding the implementation of the Law on Infectious Disease Prevention and Control regarding border health quarantine, the Minister of Health hereby requests People’s Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to direct relevant agencies to:

​Suspend the application of COVID-19 health declaration at all border gates of Vietnam for people on entry from 00:00 on April 27, 2022.​
